My name is Carolyn Schmidt-Pietzner and I am the Funeral Celebrant  and Life Transitions Companion (End of Life Doula) for Essentia Rose.  I decided to become a Funeral Celebrant after the passing of my beloved mother in early 2017. As good friends, and my youngest son at the Funeral Home performed the service, it was absolutely wonderful.  Being involved and talking to one of the staff members (who is a great friend now), she said that I would make a good Funeral Celebrant with my personality and caring nature.  It made me realise, after the experience with my mum's death, that this is what I truly wanted to do, that this is my true path in life.  So, I started my journey to my unfolding path.

It was devastating losing a loved one but something wonderful has come from it as well.  Mum would be very proud of me, so I thank you Mum and until we meet again.

My friends asked me “What made you decide to do this?”  I replied “I know what it’ like to lose someone and the pain and grief I experienced.  I would like to offer others the support in their time of need.”

I support those who are grieving for the loss of their loved ones. Whether it's a human being or a beloved pet who are also family, with the same deep caring, nurturing and compassionate understanding that I approach my everyday life. Unfortunately, at some stage, grief will touch our lives in one way or another.  When that time arrives, knowing and feeling confirmed in your decision invite me to support and guide you through the process of this unfolding moment in your life, we will present and release your loved one in the utmost respect that they deserve and continue on with their unfolding path.

I love what i do, it's not a job, it a purpose and it has brought me back to the animal kingdom and provide them with a pet cremations service held in love, respect, compassion and dignity with a large range of pet urns and jewellery.

Our loved ones may not be here in body

But they are here in our hearts.

Even though we may be apart

Our Love will never die. 

Our paths will cross again someday.

Until then you will be missed and thought of often

With a smile on our face of the funny times and a giggle now and then. 

Whenever we see a shining light

We’ll know it’s you once again guiding us through the dark times. 

It’s time to rest, as you and your love always gave our life the best.
